The Association promotes, fosters and markets local art and crafts, traditional and modern, retaining an important aspect of the Island’s cultural heritage. Their shop, situated beside the Tourist Office at the Canister, is staffed by volunteers and has over 60 contributors producing a range of products from seed work, lace work, pottery and wood turning. The shop is open on Monday to Friday from 10.30 – 1.00 and Saturday mornings from 10 .00 – 1.00.

The Association recognises that the Arts and Craft Centre plays a major role in the Island’s plans to develop its Tourist Industry.
